Does Peter's response on the Official Forum (in the thread that mirrors this one) indicate that this current configuration is indeed the new and improved website? The one we've been waiting for since 2005? That the big deal will be that now we'll be able to stream each album from our desktop computer??????

At this point, shut the damn thing down. It's nothing but an embarrassment. I can't even find the words.

Again, this begs the question: Why does he do it in his spare time, for free? Are they too cheap / skint to pay somebody?
And even so, that doesn't mean one is not allowed to expect quality. It all seems a bit half-hearted. Like the time he asked what people would be prepared to pay for those bags and didn't take a blind bit of notice of the responses.
To stay with FC's restaurant comparison. At the moment they're serving up gruel and if anybody says, "Please sir can I have some more?" it's smack-in-the-gob-how-dare-you-be-so-ungrateful time.

I would expect Will to intercede. He knows the difference between crap and quality. His Glide website is pretty cool.

I think Peter is doing the best he can. And, my apologies if he's reading this, that's a shame.

I was merely commenting on the repeated motif of, "he's only small so leave him alone".

As I've noted before, the band isn't paying Brian anything either, yet the result is pretty damned satisfactory.

The band needs to quit cheaping out. It drove Les away and people working for them are not able to give it their all. As much as working for the Bunnymen must be a labor of love for the official guys, there's only so much you can do if it's all done on your free time. There's bills to pay, real jobs to pay those bills, time away from families, hobbies to be pursued.

I'm afraid the Bunnymen have developed a bunker mentality. Everything seems to be done to minimize loss as opposed to taking a risk now and then and possibly achieving greater success. I think they've resigned themselves to the fact this will be as good as it gets.

At the dark end of the street
That's where we always meet
Hiding in shadows where we don't belong
Living in darkness to hide our wrong
You and me, at the dark end of the street
Just you and me

I know that time is gonna take its toll
We're gonna pay for the love that we stole
It's a sin and we know that it's wrong
But our love keeps coming on strong
You and me, at the dark end of the street
Just you and me

They're gonna find us
They're gonna find us
They're gonna find us someday
We'll steal away to the dark end of the street
Just you and me

If you take a walk downtown
And you find some time to look around
If you should see me and I walk on by
Oh darling please don't cry
Tonight we'll meet
At the dark end of the street
Just you and me
Oh you and me

Yeah, but that hold true for the two owners as well.

But the cost of a website is considered a marketing expense. I read once about how Ian hated paying taxes on the money they pay to the band members, so he's familiar with accounting principles.

Maybe you're right Black Francis (oh dear, now I'm agreeing with you!). In sports terms they're playing not to lose, not playing to win.

On a side note, has anyone else been keeping up with the forum posts over there lately? Truly pointless. I think all the intelligent people are over here. Give yourselves a hand.
