A "Star Wars" death (sorry, BF)

I saw today some dude named Bob Anderson (the name also of a realtor I had several years back) who was a swordsman and did work on the first "SW" flick bought the farm. I think I read that he did the Vader fight scenes, but I don't know if I'm recalling that correctly.

You're correct. I heard this on the news this morning, too. He was in his fifties when he did those fight scenes.

It worked well because Vader was an older man during the fight scene in A New Hope where the fight scenes in the prequels were supposed to be more acrobatic because he was a young man without prosthetics. Truth be told I hated all those Jackie Chan lightsaber fights in the prequels. Give me a swordsman like Bob anytime.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts
