Yeah perhaps I am a member of the daddy dancing fraternity now. Although I don't make my moves any different to how I was at gigs before. Going to gigs I'd watch, sway and tap as far as far back as I remember. Then there is the obligatory head moving backwards and forwards, or up and down, that is quite often seen at indie gigs. For proper dancing, I was more into underground dance music, drum and bass in the 1990s than indie music. Couldn't do that to the Bunnymen or any guitar band.
My guess, as I don't have any, is the kids today will be trying all the moves of some choreographed dance troupe they have seen on Britain's Got Talent or on Glee, or if older, dances they have perfected to a Cheryl Cole mega mix they hear down their local club every Friday night. Bet they don't have up to 170 bpm to dance to, which usually required being intoxicated by alcohol or drugs to keep up. So maybe it has swung round and it is those older that should get embarrased now by their kids' kiddy dancing. Perhaps.
