Last night was pretty much everything (except Pinky) you'd want from the Bunnymen's current line up. Truely excellent :). I don't think Mac wants to sing the words to TD ;-) and he doesn't do what he doesn't want to do :) They looked and sounded amazing. Lights and stage looking great, loads of dry ice. Mac's hair extra spikey in silhouette...crowd (mixed ages) really into it from front to back (I was in middle for Crocodiles and right at front for HUH, and all over (looking for husband) during encore and wherever I was people were really into it....Ste was great on bass...they were all great!!

Missed most of you Kelley :( but caught last song, got there too late to say hi.....

Had a fantastic evening, looking forward to Liverpool.....

I thought it was really good too - awesome crowd was singing the guitar solo on the cutter!! Mac and will both seemed pleased with the gig... Was a real thrill to sing my tunes under the camo netting! Band soundchecked with villiers, with hip, death men - hmm what else Sarge is playin a new 12 string he was given ... Sounds good on pictures. Never thought I'd ever hear it was a pleasure (which Mac sings partly through an effects box) turquoise days or pride monkeys etc... So cool!

I thought that £4.05 for a pint of Cider was a bit rich. It's not the Astoria it's the sodding Powerhouse. However didn't stop me getting twatted and getting very carried away.

I grabbed Peasey about 3 songs in and said 'Sorry for grabbing you like this and I don't wanna do your head in, but I just want to say thank you so much for doing these gigs' He beamed back at me and said 'No worries, I'm as excited as you are mate'.

Met one of the promoters outside whom I knew when I was a kid.

Thought Kelley was great.

Oh, that post didn't mention the music much did it?

Loved it & thought the band were enjoying themselves a lot too. You can tell when you spot one of the 'new' lads, the keyboardist, singing along like the rest of us.

Few bits of HUH fell appart, esp NDT, which was a bit of a shame. However I don't want to put a dampener on a great night. I had just been waiting 20 years to hear that tune live. Fortunately we were pre-warned of this from the Gloucester review from Mr Smith.

Mac admitted on Saturday he preferred Crocs as an album, so maybe that has something to do with it?

Mac appears to be sporting a mullet of Godlike proportions.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

That's the second time I have read of Bunnymen gig goers singing along to Will's guitar solos. They do that at Brixton and I stay around for The Cutter, I'm going to do the acoustic guitar bit or the percussion.

Godlike? More like the devil. He has two horns either side if you look closely. Will mentioned Mac's Beelzebub side once didn't he. Here we have photographic proof.

Another video, of Rescue with a bit of VT.
