I don't think I like the idea of a new movie based on the original BSG.

Yeah. I don't know that it would do well. Maybe an animated series would be more appropriate.

I wouldn't mind seeing current BSG do a feature film or two, but the canon has sort of been rewritten. I wonder if that's why Glen Larson wants to do it - maybe this strayed too far from the original for his liking.

There is enough back story, they could do that for the reimagined version. I know there is a Caprica series coming up that leads to the original Cylon war but there is the war itself and events that lead up to the colonies being settled. I really hate the idea of going back to the original now that all of this is in place.
