Big difference. Mac isn't going for the moody/pouty look at us in front of this brick wall being all artistic pose.

That's why he wins the prestigious 101st annual GOGP musician/band by the brickwall award, as he isn't doing that pouting "look at me my band is hard". He looks like just an ordinary nice geezer in that pic and as I remember him the only time I have met him in person.
