Larry King was beloved by celebrities because he never asked the hard questions. If a celebrity needed to "explain" himself or rehab his image, he went on Larry King Live right away.

He is also a sex freak. From April 2010: "In Touch is out this week and inside it's pages is an interview with a guy who was the Little League coach for Larry King and Shawn Southwick's children. He said that within two weeks of meeting Shawn they were having sex and that it continued for years. Apparently her favorite thing to do was to have sex in Larry's bed while Larry King Live was on television. He says that Larry knew bout the affair but didn't care because Larry is a sex freak and was too busy having sex with Shawn's sister."
