So I take it by the three lols, they are not. I have no idea as it's been a while since I have made any online bookings for tickets for anything, but think some of these booking fees are a rip-off. How can someone justify adding £4.75 to the value of a ticket when I'm actually taking the trouble of inputting information via the Internet onto a computer database and all they are doing processing, printing out a ticket and posting it. It's these booking and transaction fees. Some of these sites (Ticketweb) give you the impression that they are only charging £1.50 if you are picking up your ticket personally from the box office but add a hidden transaction fee once you proceed to check out.

I guess I'll have to though.

My favorite is when they charge you a fee even if YOU print out your own damn tickets. They didn't give me the ink and paper.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

I heard on the radio today that the ticket companies are thinking of doing away with printed tickets and issuing wristbands with a chip inside instead. Just think how much more they'll be able to charge for that!

I'd avoid getting tickets from HERE btw, they can't even get the venues right:

yep the local O2 place do that. the only way to avoid the fee is tio buy with cash at the box office, which probablly costs me more in petrol (that'll be gas to you i expect) but i'd sooner give it to the huge oil companies... hmmm, strokes chin. can i start a 'we're all doomed' thread now?

Only 4 pounds 75? That's pretty cheap for fees ... esp. if Ticketmonster is part of the equation. Last year, I paid $24 for a ticket to see the Furs, and TM added $17 in fees. Unbelievable!
