Are you finished clouting him?

If your son is under 18, then have him work off the bill by doing extra chores around the house. If you son is over 18, the bill should be entirely his responsibility and shouldn't even be in your name.

But what do I know, I don't have any kids. Just my opinion and my observation that kids are way too spoiled these days.

Heh, that's nothing. My sister in law bought her boyfriend an iPhone and was paying for his plan. Dude goes to Mexico and she told him NOT TO USE THE INTERNET. Of course he racks up a $5000.00 USD internet bill that she was totally on the hook for. When she asked for the phone back he literally ran from her refusing to hand it over.

My first cell phone was a disaster. I got a bill for...what was it? I forget the amount but it was in the thousands cause someone called Egypt 17 times using my number. I got out of that one though.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

If he is under 18, pay the bill, make him do household chores [as electrabunny said] and confiscate the phone for several months. You have to also ask yourself whether it is that important for him to own one, especially if it's at your expense. Bloody mobile phones!

Biggest bill Ive seen through work was for £750 for a month when some dozy cow was ringing home from Saudi.

Pay it and forego tickets to the BAggies.

Asking someone to not use the internet on the iPhone is like asking someone to just get a salad at an all you can eat buffet. The iPhone/iPod Touch is an addiction you cannot comprehend until you start using one.

You could shame him publicly. Shame is a powerful correction technique often ignored by today's society.

A stockade at the local mall? Rotting vegetables to throw at the culprit?
