Just bought tickets, the venue looks amazing.

How comes it's not an "Evening with the Bunnymen"? Would make more sense given past history.

Exactly...being that it was the Bunnymen (collective) that played there 26 years ago. Without them, he wouldn't be able to do this now......

Regardless, the hall looks pretty cool.

I imagine the pressure to play a room like that is different than playing The Metro in Chicago or whatever. I hope it goes well. If I was in the area I certainly would take a chance on that and buy a ticket.

I guess because he is also doing solo stuff?

The boys should really put Electrafixion, EATB, solo and Glide stuff.

I'm intimidated just by the photo. I hope he can hold it together long enough so his voice holds out and let's hope the antecdotes are kept to a minimum, so there isn't a repeat of the Dec NYC performance.

It was cool smoking a cigar on the steps of St. Georges Hall on a rainy night just prior to one of the December shows at the O2 Academy, watching the busy nightlife. The 400 people who will be in attendance at this live perfomance are going to be very lucky. Their music will resonate loudly in the stone walled concert hall.

Here's what they heard 26 years ago on May 12, 1984 when Ian, in his prime, did Do It Clean:

It's going to be real loud!!

Who's going and will you record it us??

you aren't going to see anything like that at st. george's hall this time around as 3 out of the 4 people in the video won't be there.

i was at all (3) O2 shows and it won't be like that either. taking bets.

Sorry, I misunderstood and assumed it would be the whole band. In that case, this is what will happen in St. Georges Hall in May:

He'll be performing an acoustic set, seated next to a table with two glasses filled with an amber liquid and a bottle on the floor below.
