House of Love

We know there is more to life than the music of the Bunnymen. Talk about those other bands here.

Totally overlooked and underrated by most. Hope I get to see them (doubtful) while Chadwick and Bickers have buried the hatchet.

Anyone else like them?

I'd totally forgotten about them until a few months ago but read somewhere that they'd been performing their debut album in its entirety so I bought their first two albums on CD having had them both on cassette years ago. Both have really stood the test of time, great albums.

You are among friends on this one.

They are touring together? I saw them in 1990. Great show.

Come get me when Slowdive is performing again.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

I listen to them almost every day when they pop up on my iPod. They have that melancholy thing going that I can't resist.

Just amazing they were this big by 1987 having a full budget for videos and getting them played on Night Tracks and MTV.

also the last page in this months mojo -the how it started and how it ended bit, the latter by being chucked out of the van in the middle of wales or somewhere with a smack in the kisser. But they can laugh about it now. A tale of a band on differet drugs. Never works, unless you're the rolling stones of course.

Still have Slowdive days on my iPod (and Mojave 3) from time to time.

Hugely underrated band. The shoegaze hype then backlash did them no good. They were far far better than the bands they got lumped in with.

HoL have a new album out don't they?

I listen to "40 Days" and "Crazy For You" almost daily.
