Not that big, but I used to drink in the same pub during my student days in Wales as the members of The Crocketts, now known as The Crimea. Didn't bother talking to them either.

Ian, Will, Glenn Danzig, Morrissey, and Frank Black walk in to a bar...

HAHA! Chris Farley syndrome... That's exactly why I chose to stay in my car, the same one I pushed my daughter out of, when I saw the Bunnymen exit their venue.

Once I said to Will. "I started playing guitar because of you" and he replied, "it's easy isn't it?". That was funny but I was lying or retarded, I'm not that much younger than Will, I was playing guitar for years before I heard of the Bunnymen. I meant to say how much he changed the way I thought about playing guitar. It's not the notes you play, it's the notes you don't play. I can be wise with a backspace and a spell checker. Not so much live.

I remember that he (Will) told Brian (brokencog) last year..."what are ya shakin' for ya ninny?" when he asked for an autograph.

No I think that was the gangbang fantasy you were telling me about.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

Francis . . why do your thoughts always go in that direction?

Ian, Will, Glenn Danzig, Morrissey, and Frank Black should do a song together.

I don't know. They just make me feel good.

 poor Brian!!

I got a chance to meet Ian. Didn't really expect to meet him, so it was a treat! We just talked. Nothing special and I didn't passout or sream. (hee hee) I guess I fall into both groups. If I had the chance to meet a bandmember, I take it! If I think I would like to seek out the band, I do. I just try to be myself. And I hope that the person can be hisself/herself too.

I am now firmly in the group who wants to meet the band but 10 years ago wouldn't have been able to utter a single word. What's changed? I have. Being an artist I love having a chance conversation with anyone who is excited or intrigued by my art. Honestly much better high than you can get from booze or drugs. So now I want to share that same experience with my idols.

Keeping this in mind I have been able to talk to both Mac and Will when I've been given the chance. Even asked Will if I could take a picture of him and blinki at the after show in Liverpool.

The thing I find funny is I asked for and recieved Will's autograph the first time I met him. So now someone has asked me why I didn't have Will sign the portion of the poster I had with me Saturday night at Korova. Answer-I was too embarassed. Which shows I'm still a little starstruck.

me too, that's why YOU had to ask Will if i could get a photo.

though the second night i really didn't have any trouble talking to Will. he's really funny once you get talking to him. then again, it was very late, and we were drinking... so who knows. hehe. but i still get starstruck, that's why i don't think i would be able to talk to mac, even if given the chance.

I like to meet interesting people, band member or not, so why not talk to them if you get a chance? I have been fortunate to meet some of the musicians whose music I really enjoy and usually find that they are very nice. I have been able to talk to Will a couple of times and he is very easy to talk to. I admire his talent so much, it does make me a bit nervous, but he makes one feel at ease because he is so very genuine.

That is great that you are willing to talk to people who idolize you.
