A fantstic version in my opinion (18th Dec 2009 Liverpool).

Being down the front you get caught up in a tidal wave of energy of a different kind and never really see the performace from this perspective.

Very close to the early days

This is from the December 19th show, shortly after I screwed up and unknowingly paused my recorder during Bedbugs and Bally Hoo. Yes, the experience was unforgetable. And yes, that tidal wave of energy was trying to first push me into the handrail and then aside. I'd do it all over again in a heartbeat.

Sounds like a bit of a shambles to me, it was miles better on the Friday. Who is that bloke with the massive shovel hands?

I don't know about shovel hands...but I'm the guy standing directly in front of Ian periodically giving the peace sign and other hand gestures. However...driving home today the thought entered my head: if the V sign is given with the palm facing the individual (which I was doing) it means one thing to the Brits, the V sign given with the palm facing away means another. Mixed messages?? What was I saying?
