So, what's that maverick, Sarah Palin up to these days?

Tired of discussing the Bunnymen and all the bands that have been influenced by them? This is the place for you.

"I can see Russia from my house" - Sarah Palin, 2008

Much as I despise her, she never said that. Chalk one up for SNL.

Oh my God a politician used their influence to benefit themselves and their friends? Holy Lord what is this world coming to?

Fie on you Satan.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

I don't think that defense will work in court.

I know, I know... maybe I should've said - "Sarah Palin", 2008

She really said, "they're our next-door neighbors. you can actually see Russia from land here in Alaska"

Did you Google "Palin embezzlement" by the way, Mr. Hannity?

I don't have to Google it; I'm already familiar with the rumor being promulgated by lefty blogs, etc. For you to claim that "this whole embezzlement thing" is just now finally causing you to have second thoughts about Palin is disengenious in the extreme, as there is no "whole embezzlement thing".

As for the mother jokes, if you mean to say that the embezzlement insuations and the "puppeteering" the family claims were jokes, then my apologies. Good one.

If she actually did that, that is corruption and should be punished. As far as I can determine, there is no merit to any of the theories.

and yes, I know Midol isn't a blood pressure medication.

Just seems like you're getting worked up over just a little shit talk. We do that around here, in case you'd forgotten.

Jack, you're being a dick.
"Second thoughts" about Sarah Palin - I never have been in favor of her being in National leadership. When she was thrust on the scene, I saw it for what it was - a cheap attempt by those in power on the right to try and curry favor with disenfranchised Hillary voters and fence-sitters. That doesn't mean I hated Sarah Palin. You need to adjust your pendulum. Not liking does not equal hating.

The puppeteering thing was me calling it as I sees it. Maybe I feel that way because I'm a woman-hating misogynist, and I don't like seeing women in power. Or maybe I think she's a manipulator. That's what puppeteers are, aren't they? Manipulators?

SARAH PALIN'S NEW JOB
Posted on Monday, July 6th, 2009
By Reginald Cunningham III

WASILLA, AK – Sarah Palin resigned as Governor of Alaska last week. In a startling press conference, she has revealed her new mission: hunting Bigfoot.

Sarah Palin has officially resigned as Governor of Alaska, in a move she swears has nothing to do with an ongoing police investigation. Residents of the state, in an outpouring of support, took to the streets waving signs saying “We Love You Sarah!” and pictures of bikini models with her face glued on. Palin gave her last speech as Governor in her favorite bar; out of respect, hot wings were half off for the next hour.

Over the weekend Palin held the much anticipated press conference to announce her new project. Inviting members of the press into her home yet again, she brought them into her previously unseen trophy room. After several minutes of down-homey speaking and adorably incorrect grammar, she removed the sheet hanging behind her to reveal the mounted heads of a dozen sasquatches and several other cryptids. “My new purpose in life” she said “is to bring the joy of hunting these elusive creatures to as many people as possible!”

In the official press packet delivered to media outlets, Palin’s plan was more clearly outlined. She hopes to advocate the mass hunting of Bigfoot in America. Starting in Alaska she will work to not only remove limits on hunting the endangered species, but encourage as many people as possible to do so. “The existence of this so-called ‘Missing Link’ is a slap in the face to God, and the faith of real Americans.”

Palin has a history of hunting Bigfoot, as documented last year by Weekly World News

First it's

Frank The Bunny wrote:For a moment I was worried that she'd resigned as Governor of Alaska on a National Holiday (and first day of a 3 day weekend), catching the news cycle at its weakest and lessening the damage done by various reports that she was under Federal investigation for embezzlement. Because something like that would just be bad.

Then it's

You're just setting me up for an attack on liberals and liberal media outlets.

Hey, you keep insinuating that you've fucked my mom...I don't ask you to prove it.

News flash Frank: This isn't your blog. You, as much as anyone, take full advantage of the freedom to say anything you want here. So it's a little pathetic for you to poop your diapers the minute someone engages you on a topic you started.

Throwing shit over the wall then crying "I was just kidding you need to take a chill pill" is the weakest of sauces.

As much as I like Sarah Palin and Bigfoot (I'll be whacking off to that image for months)I think her resignation hurts any national office aspirations she may have had. Which may have been the point. Who knows.

All of which is fine with me. I'm a Mitt Romney guy.

Golly! All this ruckus about me?

If I may, I would like to take a moment to reflect on the last few days and share my thoughts with you.

First, I want to thank you for your support and hard work on the values we share. Those values led me to the decision my family and I made. Yesterday, my family and I announced a decision that is in Alaska’s best interest and it always feels good to do what is right. We have accomplished more during this one term than most governors do in two – and I am proud of the great team that helped to build these wonderful successes. Energy independence and national security, fiscal restraint, smaller government, and local control have been my priorities and will remain my priorities.

For months now, I have consulted with friends and family, and with the Lieutenant Governor, about what is best for our wonderful state. I even made a few administrative changes over that course in time in preparation for yesterday. We have accomplished so much and there’s much more to do, but my family and I determined after prayerful consideration that sacrificing my title helps Alaska most. And once I decided not to run for re-election, my decision was that much easier – I’ve never been one to waste time or resources. Those who know me know this is the right decision and obvious decision at that, including Senator John McCain. I thank him for his kind, insightful comments.

The response in the main stream media has been most predictable, ironic, and as always, detached from the lives of ordinary Americans who are sick of the “politics of personal destruction”. How sad that Washington and the media will never understand; it’s about country. And though it's honorable for countless others to leave their positions for a higher calling and without finishing a term, of course we know by now, for some reason a different standard applies for the decisions I make. But every American understands what it takes to make a decision because it’s right for all, including your family.

I shared with you Friday my heartfelt and candid reasons for this change; I’ve never thought I needed a title before one’s name to forge progress in America. I am now looking ahead and how we can advance this country together with our values of less government intervention, greater energy independence, stronger national security, and much-needed fiscal restraint. I hope you will join me. Now is the time to rebuild and help our nation achieve greatness!

God bless you! And I look forward to making a difference – with you!

Sarah
