seems like Bonzo's been to Mac's creative writing class.
Though this reminds me a bit of that Living Colour song.

I'll stick to "Tupelo", thanks.

My fave comment on Bono's poem:

He really showed some front
He thinks he's really clever
But I think he's a ...."

THESE ARE FINE:

Fools Like Us - Last track to feature Les on bass. That alone gives some cred. (Which version by the way? There are two)

Rust -- the lyrics are delivered spot-on. "Down amongst the dust" -- could do w/o the poppy hook.

Bedbugs & Ballyhoo - built off a fine bass and brush from Les and Pete - remember when they were good?

History Chimes -- (Which version the fast or slow one that belongs on a Mac solo?)

Fuel - Great B-side with an off-kilter delivery. Solid 2 minute punk/pop jam. Worthy of the Velvets.

THESE REALLY SUCK:

In My Time - Evergreen (would WAYGDWYL be far off?)
Lost On You - WAYGDWYL (Tower of Power horns, really?)
Get In The Car - WTF???
Make Us Blind - Siberia (pure 100% album filler)
It's Alright/Burn For Me - Flowers -- Agree, seems below them
Polly/Antelope (Bsides from Evergreen - suck azz)
Does World Cup song count with Will and Mac + Spice Girls?

I think we have a winner folks. All in agreement say aye.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

by album

Crocodiles - Pride or Monkeys (weakest on the album but still cracking songs)
Heaven up Here-It Was A Pleasure or The disease -- I think disease is a very weak live track --
Porcupine- no dud track
Ocean Rain-no dud track
Echo and the Bunnymen-Hard to pick but probably New Direction as it encompasses all that is evil about that album -- that album had such potential to be a classic if only someone had balls to grab the reel tape before the final mix--
Evergreen -Baseball Bill -- awful awful lyrics
WAYGTDYL -Baby Rain -- because it was a wasted opportunity for a song - no Lost On You cos it is dull ... other than that I like the rest
Flowers - oh dear !!!!!!!!! music wise I really like this album -- some of the sounds are intersting but vocally and lyrically it is weak in places and in other places the vocal and lyrics are classic -- I just do not get how the inconsistency can be there -- stand outs of badness are Hide & Seek, It's Alright, Everybody Knows, Life Goes On, An Eternity Turns.. to pick the worst it must be Life goes on..
Siberia - make us blind -- make us deaf !!!!!!!

To pick the worst one -- I always skips this in my CD

Life goes on --

for me the worst bunnymen songs all come from Flowers ... yet it has one of my favourites too == WHY ?????????

i actually like Antelope as a B-side. still has a bit of the Electrafixion sound in it.

I tried to tell her Jack but she wouldn't listen. But let's be fair here you've monopolized the Jake Brockman thing and I've never complained.

I merely became the most noted practitioner of the Jake Brockman Joke. Credit was always given to you as the originator.

I hate to break it to you guys, but neither one of you is funny.

Actually, there is a noted drop in activity whenever you guys come around.

Well your Jake Brockman Experience (fronted by Noel Burke) is pretty classic and should have been made into a T-Shirt.
