Mono

We know there is more to life than the music of the Bunnymen. Talk about those other bands here.

Went to see the best thing out of Japan since Nakamura last night in concert, the wonderful MONO..... Have to say it was simply stunning it was almost a religious experience..... Would advise people to give their new cd " Hymn To The Immortal Wind" a good listen as it's fab..........

I only hear noise. Sonic Youth already cashed in on that gimmick.

You like Mogwai Jimbo?
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

Ok - that is not what they had on their website. Not my thing, but definitely not noise.

How about Godspeed You Black Emperor?

I played a gig once with Mogwai and Arab Strap.Bunch of stoned wankers if you ask me.The guitar player (Mogwai)was drinking red wine out the bottle and thew up at the end on the floor of Wolves Varsity.Nice.They did have a fan who danced to feedback though.I can picture his spazzy dance vividly today!

...... Knowing some of the chaps I would very much doubt it was Red Wine, I'd bet my kidneys that it was no doubt the delicious brew called "Buckfast Tonic Wine" he was drinking.... A real mans brew.....

I was given a Mogwai album to review and I was really into it. Not often unsolicited albums stood out like that. Only other one was Gay Dad.

Saw Mogwai a few years ago and they were great.
