I wasn't sure which of the nine Sept. 11ths you were referring to but I remember posting that and I still feel the same way. I feel terrible for the victims and my cousin who survived but lost almost all her co-workers but that doesn't take away mine or the New York Times reporter's opinion that we brought this on ourselves.

Please list all of the imaginary things I resent since you seem to have a reference for everything I've ever posted (which I find extremely creepy) including Obama being welcomed in Germany. He was also welcomed in France as if he were already President.

I'd also like to know what exactly you meant by "YOU and your domestic ilk"?

I notice that Zabird, Frank and I seem to hold a lot of the same views when it comes to politics (McCain-Palin) thread, yet I'm the most bitter person you've ever come across on the internet? According to your posts on that thread, you might not be calling him a "liar" but any information he posts has no truth to it?

Coincidentally, Chris Matthews asked guests on his show today if Americans care if they're hated by the rest of the world. This was hours after Frank had posted this topic. Sadly, at least one guest said "no" I feel that's true and it's a dangerous problem that can only bring us more terrorism.

It always surprises me when someone posts a political opinion. Usually not what I expect. I think I come across as somewhat conservative and when I was 18 I registered Republican (growing up in a small farming town with an airforce base may have had to do something with that. But some of my beliefs are a little outside Republican views.

- I was anti - Iraq from the beginning. And once the place is relatively peaceful I think we should declare victory, throw a big party and leave.
- I am pro Afghanistan and now hope there will be more success with General Petraus in charge.
- I am pro gay marriage
- I am pro choice (though I would like to see less abortions through better sex ed. Abstinence is fine with me but other alternatives should be taught as well.
- And if I'm pro choice then I obviously have no problem with the applications of the death penalty
- I think national health care is a good idea as long as people who are happy with their current coverage can get a credit if they choose to remain with their current plan.
- I think anyone in LAUSD district has to be with me on school vouchers. Our public schools are the worst.
- I am anti-affirmative action as it actually hurts the minority students it is meant to help
- I believe if you have gone through training and a background check then you can own a gun. I believe communities with a higher percentage of gun owners are safer than areas which have strict gun limits (where basically the criminals are in possession of them)
- I think my most militant stance is regarding the southern border. I would truly like the gov to secure that fucker. I know Republicans want cheap labor to exploit and Democrats are hoping they'll register Democrat when the next Amnesty rolls around but just once can't they consider what Americans want?

Anyways enough of that. I'm going to deny this post ever took place when i sober up./

I doubt the rest of the world loses sleep wondering what we think of them so I'm not sure why we would need to seek wordly approval. Respect for each other is beneficial and good but needing to be liked...maybe not so much.

"I'm so goddamn sick of Americans complaining about ONE incident when, since who knows for how long other countries have endured MANY terrorist attacks"

Jane, I've had a lot of fun with you and your husband and we do have a shared connection(you know what I'm talking about) and I know our politics are pretty different but you didn't really mean for the above statement to come out that way did you? It does come across a pretty calloused and I don't believe you to be that way.

No I swear I don't care what the world thinks as I keep posting in the "what does the world think of us" thread.

Well why didn't you say France likes him? That's a whole different story. That should be sufficient to declare him President without further delay.

I admit I have a good memory for things people say, except, apperently, with my wife. I know I'm not remembering everything, but off the top of my head, a list of imaginary things about which you have expressed concern in the past are:

1) "They" are putting Uranium in our silverware.
2) GWB was "in on" 9/11
3) Forum member "Trippin' Out" isn't dead.

I recall there were other conspiracy type theories you have espoused, but I do not recall them in detail.

Ilk just means "of the same general kind". In this case I meant Americans of the radical left who hate their country. Sorry if you took it another way.

Is Sarkozy as right wing as they said during France's elections?

I don't hate my country, JackT. It's just not the same kind of love.
Republican love is a very special kind of love, between a man and a congressional page on the floor of a cloakroom, or the love between a man and an undercover policeman in an airport restroom.

I never said you did, Frank! (BTW, I'm not a Republican. Not that it matters.)

I get it. You're trying to distance yourself from the rumors of anonymous and/or illegal gay sex with minors and/or law enforcement officials, aren't you? Your secret's safe with us. We're all friends here. You can be Phoebe.

The European elite (of which the press are largely a part) tend to label anyone to the right of Trotsky as a Facist. Not that Facism isn't alive and well in Europe; I believe it is constantly there waiting to resurface (as is anti-Semitism), which maybe explains why Europeans are so worried about it. (Parties like the Belgian Vlaams Belang (or however you spell it) are almost explicity facist, IMO. There are others.)

One reason why your mentioning of Sarkozy is intersting in this context is that he can reasonably be labelled "Pro-American". The French just elected a Pro-American leader, as did the Germans, which is one reason why I think the extent of America "hatred" in Europe, at least with regards to regular people who don't appear at G5 protests and Obama rallies, is overstated.

Oh no I don't mind the gay sex rumors, just don't call me a Republican. Pheobe? Come on, that's uncalled for.

You're right. Chandler - he's the one that had the gay rumors. He was a natty dresser.

I will take Chandler. The lowest I'll go is Monica.
