Magazine

We know there is more to life than the music of the Bunnymen. Talk about those other bands here.

Any fans out there?

They're reforming for two shows in February -- one in London, one in Manchester.

Funningly enough, I was thinking of going to London in February, when fares will hopefully be at their cheapest. Now I got a reason

Thanks for posting this!

I wonder if he & Pete Shelley would have a special concert playing old tracks off of Buzzkunst! I LOVED that LP.

What's your favorite Howard DeVoto song?

I like Howard's spin on Buzzcocks songs, esp. Time's Up and I Can't Control Myself. As to Magazine's stuff, I like Shot by Both Sides and The Light Pours Out of Me.

I'd guess Pete might be there for the London show. I think he was standing mere feet from me at a Pistols gig in Brixton in November, but I'm not 100% sure. It sure looked like him, tho.

What's going on w/ Buzzcocks anyway? I read they had a few UK dates but, nothing here? I'm not a member of the Secret Public so, I don't know.

My favorite all-time Magazine songs: Sweetheart Contract & Philadelphia...

It would be GREAT to see them again, still too, I hope Pete S. shows up to do some Buzzkunst songs though. Do you like that album & if so, what are your favorite tracks?

nah, I suspect it's going to be strictly Magazine, no matter how much the Secret Public hopes otherwise. tho you never know. I saw buzzcocks last summer and pete got up with the warmup band at the end of their set and did "homosapien."

only buzzkunst stuff I've heard is what's on youtube.

don't know what's up with buzzers. no shows planned at the moment, but several months ago, pete said something about a fall trip to the u.s. don't know if that's still on or not.

Well, here's to hoping that maybe they'll come here for a nice autumn tour. It would be great to see them again too, not to mention the Bunnymen gigs in October & November. :)
