Although my imaginary friend Gaston and I don't agree on everything, the one thing we DO agree on is that this thread should be deleted and that I am not JackT. Okay that's two things.

Cool, I see an ignore button. What happens if I ignore myself? I would try it, but I don't want the forum to explode.

As you have discovered, there is now an ignore button. You can't ignore yourself and no explosion will occur.

I have noticed that it only hides posts made by the ignored poster, but the posts appear if quoted by other members.

If someone has quoted a post by a user you chose to ignore, it doesn't matter because the quoted text becomes part of the other person's post.

Being able to undo the ignore button defeats the purpose.
