Gogol Bordello

We know there is more to life than the music of the Bunnymen. Talk about those other bands here.

Gogol Bordello

They're great aren't they, I'm very excited about seeing them the week after the Bunnymen but also slightly aprehensive as according their Last.fm event page most of the attendees are still in nappies - that's diapers to you lot over the way there. I'm dragging a reluctant bread-knife along with me and I can see the pair of us skulking around at the back trying not to look like parents that have gone along to keep an eye on their kids!

Bread-knife = wife, Cockerney rhyming slang! :)

And Gogol Bordello are anything but dull, I think she's more afraid she'll get crushed in the melee!

i know some cockney slang, but it's hard to learn it all! just hadn't come across that one before!

i knew you didn't mean the band were dull.....thought you meant the wife coz you said you were bringing a bread knife along. (and they're dull) hehehee phew! makes it a little better that it just means wife, and not dull, as you used it in the sex song thread too!

Maybe I should stop using obscure colloquialisms in my posts!

Bread knives are actually sharp (and serrated). You may be thinking of a butter knife?

If this forum is to have ANY HOPE of succeeding, we have to get our knife facts correct.

Yeah.......BUTTER knife!! Geesh! Image

I'm blaming it on lack of sleep over the last 3 days!! I was extremely tired last night while waiting to pick my kids up from a party at midnight. Bread and butter go together.....i guess it's sorta like Moonies Crown of Thorns - I just got it backwards! hehehehehehehe
