Think I Need It Too on BBC radio

General discussion about the band, live shows, its recordings or bootlegs, etc. You can buy, sell or trade here. You can even post eBay links. If it's about the Bunnymen, it goes here.

I actually think that if "I Think I Need it Too" was speeded up slightly, not as heavy guitars with sweeping orchestral arrangements with Laurie Latham-type production, it'd sound like something off the grey album. Very simple pop song, but not breathtaking -- much like some of the stuff on the grey album. Production improves it this time though. The live version is terrible.

This could be off the Gray album. In a good way.

I believe Calomine is not a reference to VU, but to Rust - "flaking back to you"
It is an answer to that line. Bad skin is no joke.

I don't think that's what she means.

Wasn't there a "Calamine Shuffle" or something like that? Like pre Bunnymen song that only existed in Mac's head?

The new song would've fit very well on Evergreen, next to "I Want To Be There When You Come". Judge for yourself:

<object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/aaVS_zPx0r4&hl=en"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/aaVS_zPx0r4&hl=en" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>

It was a Bunnymen tune, but it still had a lot of Electrafixion left in it.
That's what they need, a little more of the down and dirty rocker vibe.
