Think I Need It Too on BBC radio

General discussion about the band, live shows, its recordings or bootlegs, etc. You can buy, sell or trade here. You can even post eBay links. If it's about the Bunnymen, it goes here.

I thought the track was okay, I expect more from the Bunnymen than just ok though. Thanks for the download FtB.

Mr.Sparkle wrote:You can tell it's the same Mac from the recent albums, but I think his vocals are definitely different on this song that the other recent stuff, and in a good way. I agree that he sounds nothing like he did in the 80's but it's been like that for awhile now, IMO.

Not sure about the Gin Blossoms reference...oh no...

What I meant by Gin Blossoms/Fray was it sounds like heavy rotation FM music. Like Siberia. Not necessarily a bad thing, but not what I was hoping for.

I'd rather go to a concert to hear all of Ocean Rain than probably any of this new stuff, Siberia included.

I'm hoping "I Think I Need It Two To Too?" isn't the best of the new stuff otherwise I might as well just as well listen to the Gin Blossoms. Or Coldplay

Isn't tomorrow Mac's birthday?

Interesting commentary from someone calling himself "The Bear" on the other site:

"So where's all the posts from the 'nay-sayers' who were slagging the new tracks before they'd even heard it ?
Seems that 'boy-band' producers do have something to contribute to 'proper' music.
I thought the track sounded amazing.
Powerful music and great guitar playing from Will.

I'm now excitedly looking forward to hearing more tracks."

The thing is... this guy's Peter Byrne, one of the band's managers.
I'm sure he's heard all the tracks.

Shill much?

Are you sure? What's the proof? If you are accurate, Frank, then this posting is pathetic.

The production is just fine. It's just that I'm not crazy about the song itself. Like I said it seems like Stormy Weather PtII. It doesn't suck it's just ok. It doesn't blow me away or anything.

First hand knowledge. On a previous version of the other board, he used the same nickname, with a "Rush" avatar. I exchanged PMs with him.

Seriously. That's really poor "spin" if it is.

Seriously can anyone remember the tune 10mins after listening to it? I played it again this morning but now (a few hours later) I'm buggered if I can remember how it goes.

Calm after the storm - it aint all that.

Stormy weather like YMCA.

So is YMCA like Think I need it too?

Collateral music form.

I'm dumbfounded by this news. Wow. Makes sense (given the website status), but still wow.
