What was I thinking when I paid to see that band???

We know there is more to life than the music of the Bunnymen. Talk about those other bands here.

The Tossers
The Misfits
Dropkick Murphys
Alice in Chains
Babyshambles
The Breeders
Dave Matthews Band
Foo Fighters
Kings of Leon
MXPX
Cypress Hill

etc. I can't remember them all.

i've seen the tossers and dropkick murphys and they put on great shows... i've also heard good things about dave matthews band live if you're into that, but i'm not really a fan.

i guess i could say i am embarrassed to have paid to see all the hairmetal bands back in the late 80s (poison, warrant, motley crue), but that's what i listened to back then, so i had a good time and they played a good show... so i am not totally embarrassed by it, i just get made fun of for admitting i listened to hair metal

Robin Trower at the Royal Court in Liverpool late '70's, absolute shite. We left before the end of the gig something I've never done before or since.

If I really have to confess the first real gig I went to was the Boomtown Rats (I was only 14) I went to see Stiff Little Fingers 10 days later though, so hopefully that'll redeem me.

I have seen both The Wiggles and Hi-5. They weren't bad either.

In that case, I have to admit that the first time I saw The Boomtown Rats on telly I was mesmerised. I thought they were great. I was eight.

L7. And I liked punk back then. And they still sucked.

Brian Adams. But I was about 13 and Sue McCarthy said she'd go. And then Lori Barbic said yes the second time he came to town.

Do you know what it is like to be 13 when that "Heaven" song comes and the hottest girl in the world is holding your sweaty hand?

Well, it's . . . . heaven.

I saw the Club MTV tour at Milwaukee's Summerfest. I didn't pay a separate admission price though - just paid to get into the festival and sat in the cheap general admission bench seats. I can't remember everyone who played, but Information Society was there, Downtown Julie Brown hosted and Milli Vanilli  !! No, I wasn't a Milli Vanilli fan - and yes you knew something was up with them when their track screwed up and they had to re-do their intro onto the stage - should've saw the signs of lip synching right there! But that's pretty damn embarassing that I even saw them in concert!

I loved that one Information Society song. Still listen to it from time to time.
