Spiritualized on Tour!

We know there is more to life than the music of the Bunnymen. Talk about those other bands here.

Hmm, and I seem to have three options. Chicago, Indy or Cleveland. That never happens either!

Move out of the sticks boys.

I wanna see Spiritualized so bad at the Hollywood Bowl but I fear this Ocean Rain New York trip is gonna drain me.

Guess it's bagged lunch and punk shows at small-ish venues for the rest of the year.

Yep, Winston Wolfe if I'm not mistaken. Am I the only one who thought Julia Sweeney was kinda cute?

I think unless you're one of the top drawing live acts, mid-size cities don't pay the bills anymore.

I could be wrong though. KC and the Sunshine Band did play our county fair.

That's correct. The Bunnymen have not played here since 1987.

The Creative Review blog has a great article/interview with both Jason Pierce and sleeve designer Mark Farrow who has been responsible for most of Spiritualized’s artwork.

did you see the bunnymen when they played there for the pre-Evergreen tour? i did!

yeah, all of a sudden everyone is announcing shows! i knew this was gonna happen. no one tours here for ages and then when they do it's all at the same time. i just can't do that many freakin shows at once. this tour's more possible than Nick Cave's tour is though, so we'll see. no NYC i see! good! sick of the cost of going into that city! hope they add Philly in those empty slots tho, coz even DC is a drag to get to. (although parking is free, usually!)

Is that the free one outside in the summer? No, I was in Asia. (Shut up BF.) And the tix I had for the Tokyo show that same year are near after I lost the day of the show. Almost 20 years after the recording of my fav live version of Do It Clean in the same city.

Just got the new album and going through it right now. It sounds like a definite winner and so far "Don't Hold Me Close" is the standout track.
