Its an intresting fact that a lot of the Bunnymen not to mention Paul Simpion and Julian Cope Produce a Lot of Ambient Project Work.

Damon Reece & Jake Brockman - B.O.M

Damon Reece & Mike Mooney - Lupine Howl

Mike Moony - Applecraft

Adam Peters - Family Of God

Paul Fleming - Baltic Fleet

Ceri James & Alex Germains - The Mountianeers

Paul Simpson - Skyray

Julian Cope - Rite

Not to mention associations with Spiritualized

MOST OF THIS STUFF IS AN AQUIRED TASTE

That's a nice list that shows those guys can do a lot more than verse/verse/chorus/verse/chorus. There was a time when Bunnymen stuff was a bit more non-traditional, yet just enough to balance in what makes a good rock song. I think it shows that Mac does indeed call all the shots now.

I can understand not liking music with no vocals but you just wrote off most jazz and classical with that statement

I would like to make a statement and write off most jazz and all jazz fusions.
