I saw him at Murrayfield that tour. No sun for us - it was chucking it down!

I was there. Went with a girl from my student halls and sat miles from the stage watching this little dot. Thought the swing version of Jean Jeanne was a bit crap I recall. No idea who we got back across London, like it mentions in the piece. Didn't turn me into more of a bowie fan.

I was there 40 years ago today and thought it was great - I really enjoyed it. My sister’s boyfriend was driving us back up to Liverpool afterwards and I remember waking up and discovering we were parked up on the hard shoulder of the M6 while he had a nap. Makes me shudder to this day.
