Simple Minds Tour .......

We know there is more to life than the music of the Bunnymen. Talk about those other bands here.

My favourite too.

The bobbing up and down was definitely his trademark.

Kerr was on 'Talk Sport' last week - 30 years anniversary - went to school with Alan Brazil.

I didn't hear the interview unfortunately.

Now I think about it this is like the Talk Sport Echo Forum, the other BBC.

I enjoy both.

I knew you guys would rumble me - I can't pretend to understand half the posts but they're fun anyway.

Mmmmmmmmmm.................

Lot's of rumours floating around the scottish music industry that Derek Forbes & Mick McNeil will rejoin for this tour. Jim Kerr was interviewed by scottish radio and he refused to deny it..... Just said it is a long time away in December !!!

Its a long time to drive up ticket sales by not denying it you mean
Mr. Brian, I find that offensive.

Scouser's inability to se others' point of view is rather grating.

How come Simple Minds are still doing arena tours while the Bunnymen languish in relative obscurity?

Someone should do a thread about prominent artists in John Hughes movies, and their relative success or lack thereof.

In all seriousness, I came out of The Breakfast Club dying to hear that theme song again. I can't recall another film for which that is true. I always liked what I heard from Simple Minds.

They're playing the M.E.N. and the Echo Arena in Liverpool - how the hell are they going to fill both of those? They're only 30 miles apart!

"40 Years of Hits tour" - sound familiar?

https://www.theguardian.com/music/2022/ ... obal-en-GB

Today’s seven-piece touring lineup includes three women. “And no mullets,”

Was there so little optimism that he had to conjure up his own? “I’m not entirely sure where it came from,” Kerr says, “but I know from meeting contemporaries in other cities like [Echo and the Bunnymen’s] Ian McCulloch or [Associates singer] Billy Mackenzie, we all felt the same.
