OMD

We know there is more to life than the music of the Bunnymen. Talk about those other bands here.

Got a chance to see them live soon. To be honest I liked Architecture and Morality when I was a lad, but then they went a bit crap in my opinion. Worth going?

History Of Modern from a few years ago was a good album, not heard any of their later stuff.

One of those bands that I quite liked but never got around to buying anything, back in th e80s - though there might have been a bit of ' no guitar player? Why would I bother going to see you lot' etc. Bought the greatest hits from the bargain bin a while ago and it gets a spin every now and then. Now, two or three years ago Mrs FC hadn't been arsed to get me a birthday pressie so she suggested I \look to see if there was anything on we could go and see and by coincidence OMD were playing just up the road, well not literally, but in a theatre in Oxford, which was just up the road (see what I did there), and they were jolly good. Mrs FC pointed out that the atmosphere was completely opposite to the average bunnymen gig (to which she has been dragged many a time, I htnk she meant kind of celebratory), and also that there were about ten times as many women than at the average buns gig. Enjoyable but not life changing. Didn't go out and buy all their albums after. Also possibly worth it to see Andy McCLusky doing the famed Andy McClusky dance. Also had John Foxx as suppport which was interesting, not least because the lady stood on the next synth to him appeared to be not wearing a bra under a largely (oo er) see through blouse. Works for me every time that, as juvenile as it may be to maybe see boobies.

No, and we were more or less at the back so it might have been wishful thinking

A free peek is a free peek. Well spotted FC.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

OMD were fantastic last night in Mexico City. No support from John Foxx and his female synth player though.
Check out OMD's new song Isotype.

Well I've ordered my deluxe coffee table edition thing version of the new album over on Pledge. Mighty impressed with the gig and the lads deserve my hard-earned pesos.
