Marc Almond

We know there is more to life than the music of the Bunnymen. Talk about those other bands here.

Kudos to our boys in having successfully jacked the ticket prices up, not playing the 'last ever tour' card.

Thank Christ. If any band needs a last ever show...hold on I sense a new thread.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

Speaking of which, soft cell were on Later with Jools Holland the other night. Jolly good stuff, though they make an even odder pair than ever now they're shuffling towards old age - Marc seems to have had a bit of work done an possibly sporting a syrup, and Dave Ball looking ever more like a bingo caller in some northern working mens club. Good stuff all the same and they were obviously enjoying themselves. SAy hallo and wave goodbye almost brought a manly tear to my eye.

Probably stems from reconstructive surgery after his motorcycle accident a few years ago, he was in a coma for a month after losing part of his skull! It also brought back a speech impediment that he suffered from as a child.

That was brilliant, thank you Kounelaki.
