RIP George Michael

We know there is more to life than the music of the Bunnymen. Talk about those other bands here.

RIP George Michael

Just kidding. His music sucked. I just think it's funny on Facebook everyone is trying to outdo each other in their tributes to George Michael. I'm like motherfuckers I've never heard you once mention George Michael/Prince/David Bowie once in the decades I've known you people.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

And what about the surge in record sales? Why does everyone go out and buy the records again - oh I'd forgotten about him, and my ex wife took all my records so I'll have to go and buy them again and his unfortunate death reminded me. Just in case you're wondering, it was my Oasis and Who CDs and they're still largely alive, though have replaced most of my Who ones over the years. Oasis on reflection didn;t make that grade. But once Noley or the other one snuffs it, Amazon here we come. Morrissey put it more succinctly I believe.

On the other hand, many of us Brits who have never bought anything by george still enjoy following (oops, did enjoy following) the old national treasure's antics in the gossip columns, all that gay sex in toilets, smoking at the wheel etc. Boy George comes under the same banner really.

Biggest pisser was that I had nothing of real value by Prince or George Michael that I could put up on Ebay, mind you I've nothing of value by Bono either, so there's hope.

I kinda doubt anyone has ever listed to an entire George Michael album. He was a talented singer for sure and had a handful of good songs but yeah...social media goes nuts now when someone dies as if they were best friends with the deceased because they lost their virginity to Careless Whisper. But enough about me.

Better than me. Huey Lewis and the News was playing in the background on TV.

That was just the girl saying "gotta get back in time", it wasn't the song

Having seen some latter day photos of George Michael the resemblance is uncanny!
And you know that I'll pick up
Every time you call
Just to thank you one more time

I've found it's hard to get an iPhone to focus through a public men's restroom glory hole, but yeah.
