The Pixies

We know there is more to life than the music of the Bunnymen. Talk about those other bands here.

Is the building opposite built of blue Lego?

Laugh all you want but that window is a total poon magnet.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

F.B. : Et, au final, comme l’a dit un jour Iggy Pop, «It’s all disco».

Best Apple ad evah (but only due to the music). And, I hope Kim held out for a great licensing fee or royalties or whatever.

All chick reviewers seem to think Sleater-Kinney is the greatest band ever and that Kim Deal made the Pixies. Shave your legs and get over it.

Co-written with Black Francis so hopefully they're both getting some decent ka-ching out of it.

They must be laughing about it!
per Wiki: According to Deal, the main inspiration for the song was the film Crimes of the Heart, in which a married woman falls in love with a black teenager...The song's voyeuristic lyrics mostly revolve around a woman's observation of an attractive black man making love to another woman, culminating in the oddly light-hearted but sexual chorus: "Gigantic, gigantic, gigantic / A big, big love"

I love stuff like this.

British TV used Bowie's Space Oddity as the background music for the 1st Moon landing. In the song the astronaut gets stranded and assumed to die. Oops. I always thought that song was a metaphor for heroin too.

Most of Kim Deal's lyrics seem to be about huge dongs.
