You've heard him plenty without knowing it, I'm sure. Most of the classic 45s on Stax -- from the beginning through '72ish -- had Duck's basslines. And that merely tips the iceberg. He played session bass with, like, everyone. A god of the thunderbroom was Duck. Get thee to the download window, friend!
