We know there is more to life than the music of the Bunnymen. Talk about those other bands here.

Niki and the Dove, and no not anything like Florence and the Machine, so so much better. In fact, I can't stand Florence.

AMPLIFIER
Mindblowing stuff.
Every word is like an unnecessary stain on silence and nothingness.

Sorry.
Don't know why my posts sometimes echo.

Anyway, Amplifier are not new, they've been around for a while but are not so well known.

Interstellar is an epic song, perfect in all aspects.

Don't know about new bands, but there's new stuff out there I'm enjoying at the moment:

Lower Dens.

and ol' Richard Hawley...

Makes me think that a certain band could do a loud psychedelic guitar-driven album and it might just get a bit of praise. Listening to part of that Richard Hawley song above (pretty obvious which bit I'm on about), it is not beyond their capabilities either.

Way to rip off that cool new bands thread.

That Lower Dens video is almost as bad as those old Iron Maiden videos.

Check this out, superb. Already ordered both releases.

...or M83. Sounds like Spiritualized light, but really good. And perhaps Gotye too, not certain, he sounds a bit too much like Sting sometimes...

What about this one, Baltic Fleet. New album out next month. Bloke plays keyboards for some band or other. Some guitarist out of that band played on some tracks on the previous album. Dunno if it is him again, or who he is.
