Niki & The Dove remind me, in a very good way, of two obscure bands I love the hell out of.

Abraham -- the UK band, that is. The one with Rachel Cuming on vox and Lee Jones on all kinds of instruments. NOT the bearded vampire band called Abraham from Seattle. This one:

Their LP "Blue For The Most" is a favourite of mine. Check it out!

Oddly enough, the other band they remind me of is Luke. Another band with a Biblical name which is, bizarrely, shared by a better-known band from another country. I'm referring to the Danish electronic band here, that records on the Music For Dreams label.
