speaking of Leonard Cohen

We know there is more to life than the music of the Bunnymen. Talk about those other bands here.

Out of my depth.

There's no doubt the cover is decent.

But didn't Mac put him down a bit, despite LC being a hero of his?

So whats the average ticket price to see LC then?

After having listened to him rave endlessly about it, the actual experience was quite a letdown. Then he tried to convince me that the lyrics were so great that I must really like it. It just seemed so very BORING.

No way!! That's my LEAST fave album of his!!! Give something else a try!

is this gonna be about money again??

seriously, i was expecting that, seeing how he's doing all these huge places.
he must have suddenly gotten huge since his last tour. saw him in 1988 at a
theatre and got 4 tickets for $125. inflation stinks!

i REALLY wanna see him, tho!

As you seem to be his only American fan, it looks like you're gonna have to travel north to see him.

I thought the US dates were going to be announced later??

rickenfracken! &^%$#@ I don't like Toronto! and I dunno if I can handle the Montreal drive! I did that once for the Bunnymen.....9 freakin hours one way, and then right back home after the gig....probably won't ever do that again!

I'm sure he'll tour the US......(if he lives thru the rest of the tour!)

Dunno about US dates. From today's NYT:

"One day after his induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the Canadian singer and songwriter Leonard Cohen, 73, below, announced plans on Tuesday for his first tour in 15 years, Reuters reported. The tour, beginning in Toronto on June 6, will include an appearance at the Glastonbury Festival in Britain on June 29. The final announced date is Aug. 29 in Vienna, but organizers said more performances were expected. ..."

You're totally welcome to your opinion, but you might want to give Toronto another shot. It's an awesome town.

he is playing Dublin and there is a lot of Radio coverage on it

Today FM are having a whole LC day and giving away tickets on every show -- that is a good way to raise awareness of a band
