Skying - The Horrors

We know there is more to life than the music of the Bunnymen. Talk about those other bands here.

I would just like to say...I love it.
Mr. Brian, I find that offensive.

Scouser's inability to se others' point of view is rather grating.

My album of the year (so far). It's on constant rotation at the moment.

Don't know if it's my album of the year yet - that goes to Wild Beasts' Smother closely run by PJ Harvey's Let England Shake. But some of the tracks are sublime. I'm totally hooked on You Said, playing it three-four times a day. Dark and uplifting at the same time.

I don't like gerunds.

It's pretty much neck and neck with Smother if i'm honest.

Other notable releases - the Washed Out debut and the latest Junior Boys album.

It's a good thing no one used one in this thread, then.

It certainly is. The Chapel Club album recommended on here (was it Ghostie or Mr Smith?) is a cracker as well, still getting regular airplay here at Voodoo Towers FM.

having not bought anything that could be called 'new' for ages i got this on your recommendation. Then forgot i had it and just been playing it in the car for a few days. Seems to be about a million and one influences in there - not necessarily a bad thing - OK I'd say, still simmering. we'll see. ask me in a few weeks.
