We know there is more to life than the music of the Bunnymen. Talk about those other bands here.

Just got back from seeing The Church play at the Opera House performing A Psychedelic Symphony featuring The George Ellis Orchestra totaling 67 with the Church out front.
Tonight's performance consisted of 2 sets with set 1 coming in at about the hour mark then a 20 min intermission which Steve said when asked what he was going to do in this time "I may do a wee wee if the angle dust and dwarfs haven't arrived,Had they?" followed by set 2 and 2 encores coming in at around 100mins.
Light show was good,2 screens with projected images and movies behind band and orchestra and even had a smoke machine going.I thought the sound through my ear plugs was a bit bottom end muddled though with them out seemed much better-not usually the case as the Dead Kennedys from the night before sounded great.
The show was videoed to be released on DVD/Blu Ray? so this should be available to purchase some time in the future.
The all important set list:
set 1
Metropolis (orchestra only-the band walked on stage to this
Seline
Lost
Almost With You
Anchorage
Pangaea
The Unguarded Moment
Myrrh
Never Before
Grind

set 2
Happy Hunting Ground (Orchestra only)
Mr. Guy Fawkes
Ripple
Reptile
Two Places At Once
The Disillusionist
Spark
Angel St
Under The Milky Way
Space Saviour

Encore 1
Already Yesterday
Invisible

Encore 2
Operetta
Tantalized

Another great show yet again by the Church, and oh they mostly played their electric guitars and occasionally the acoustic guitars on a few songs.
The problem with self improvement is knowing when to quit.
