Great gig at the O2 Academy last night by The Killers' frontman. The set lasted for a little over an hour, most of the excellent Flamingo was covered as well as a couple of Killers songs and The Beatles' 'Helter Skelter'. The fella' certainly has charisma and it was great to see him in a relatively small venue, The Killers themselves being stadium fillers these days. I thought maybe he'd have given us something by the Bunnymen (having gone into Bring on the Dancing Horses at the MTV awards at the city in '08), but we got 'Helter Skelter' by the city's second best anyway.
Purveyor of the 'semi-predictable one-liner (which) embodies the essence of the type of comedic crap we grew to love here. VB is a crazy fool'
