U2 - The Joshua Tree

We know there is more to life than the music of the Bunnymen. Talk about those other bands here.

U2 - The Joshua Tree

I expect some flaming, but do I care..... No....

Bought the remastered box set today, have to say it's great value not only do you get the cd of the reamstered Joshua Tree, but also a bonus cd of b-sides, unreleased songs etc (incuding one stunning track "Wave Of Sorrow") and a live concert DVD from 1987, plus a documentry of the tour........

Not only that but you also get a 56 page hard back book with notes from various people involved with recording etc including Edge, Brian Eno and Anton Corbjin....

All in all great value for £20.00, I wish warners had done that with the remastered Bunnymen cd's...

Jimbo....

P.s am now waiting for all the U2 are crap posts ........

Always liked Joshua Tree and earlier albums. Even like a lot of post Joshua Tree stuff.

Joshua Tree is the last U2 album I like. Up to that point their albums showed great progression and I still think The Unforgettable Fire doesnt get the recognition it deserves.

After The Joshua Tree it all went horribly wrong. Culminating in the horrendous Pop album.

Still, I wouldnt fork out £20 for a remastered copy...
Mr. Brian, I find that offensive.

Scouser's inability to se others' point of view is rather grating.

Yeah there's a lot of good tracks besides "Pride". I've always loved "Wire". "A Sort of Homecoming" is good too, and the title track is great as well. Some of the tracks are duds though, which may be why the album is not held in as high regard.

I love Joshua Tree - and was psyched to hear the outtakes -honestly they sound like the same song and Mothers of The Disappeared at that. Not good. Dronedronedronesleep.

Sweeter than the real thing - sucks . . . just doesn't have anything to justify 50 bucks.

Classic album. I'll agree with Unforgettable Fire as well. I thought All That You Can't Leave Behind was a really good album too. Better than Flowers <ducks>

I like U2 up to and including Achtung Baby but since no one else has I'll do it.

Fuck Bono.

AChtung was really really good and saved them from becoming a parody of themselves - for a little while at least.

And then Bono started that "I'm gonna make a monumental speech in the middle of this song" during ever friggin song.

Yeah but my "Fuck Bono" was especially witty and insightful.

No, witty and insightful is when you say "Buck Fono." See how clever?
