Pulp

We know there is more to life than the music of the Bunnymen. Talk about those other bands here.

Pulp

Just wanted to say Jarvis Cocker is a genius, second best lyricist of the rock era and his solo album was amazing.

I guess I should have titled the thread "I wanna teabag Jarvis Cocker" instead of "Pulp".

Maybe it should have been "I wanna teabag withahip" ???????

Anyway, I want to hear this cd, despite the fact it was released within the last five years.

More like "do I have to teabag withahip again?"

The album is brilliant. You can check some of the songs out on his MySpace page though I recommend just buying it. He's got a wife and kid to feed now.

I really like This Is Hardcore, but not many people seem to agree
Mr. Brian, I find that offensive.

Scouser's inability to se others' point of view is rather grating.

I think "This Is Hardcore" is Pulp's best album. I like how the albums build up from Cocker's fantasies (His N' Hers), to realizing those fantasies and ambitions (Different Class) then discovering that the fame, notoriety were not exactly what he had hoped (This Is Hardcore), then acceptance and peace in his life (We Love Life).

It's so perfect he could not have planned that out. Or maybe I'm just reading more into this than is healthy.
