A Message from The Wild Swans

We know there is more to life than the music of the Bunnymen. Talk about those other bands here.

A Message from The Wild Swans

Postby Hakeswill » Sat Feb 06, 2010 9:29 am

To urgently raise funds to pay for mixing time to complete The Wild Swans long-awaited studio album ‘The Coldest Winter For A Hundred Years’, a 5-song live gig souvenir of the bands December 11th 2009 performance at Static - Liverpool will go on sale on the downloads page of the Wild Swans official web-site from tomorrow (Saturday February 4th 2010). This download will be on sale in the shop at http://www.thewildswans.co.uk/cart/ for just FOUR WEEKS ONLY and will then be removed forever. No physical copies of this gig memento are going to be manufactured. The songs on the download are Archangels, the Revolutionary Spirit, Tangerine Temple, Melting Blue Delicious and Bringing Home The Ashes. The last three songs feature long- time friend of the Swans - Will Sergeant of Echo and the Bunnymen joining me, Mike Mooney, Ricky Mayme, Steve Beswick and Richard Turvey and most touchingly his old Bunnymen band-mate Les Pattinson. The download includes printable sleeve and sleeve notes. In order to maintain complete control of the end product, the forthcoming Wild Swans album ‘The Coldest Winter For A Hundred Years’ has been entirely self-financed. Help us to manifest destiny and put right what was denied us back in the day. Love and a huge thankyou,
Paul Simpson.

Thanks for the notice. Heard all about them but never took the time to listen in on their sound. Nice selection of songs, even better with Will and Les participating. Had to have been a great show that night for the lucky 200. Support the band.

I'm ordering mine tonight. If you have an ounce of musical taste (and you must have or you would be on a U2 forum rather than VT) get this download before it is gone forever, you will not regret it.

Mr. Brian, I find that offensive.

I am on dial-up so I will have to go to an internet café to download it. There seems to be a lot of buzz about them. Are they good enough to bring my HD camera along and make a free Blu-Ray of the concert for them? Note: you have to be a god-like musical genius for me to get out of bed and do this, anyone else need not apply.

Hehe, bummer. I love his writing. Out of all the people that ought to write their memoirs about the 80s Liverpool scene, it should be Paul cause he has the best writing out of everybody I have seen so far though he has written very little. Julian's stuff was entertaining and I kept looking for Pete to reappear since his character in the memoirs was the best developed besides Dorian.

Paul now has a publishing agent so hopefully his long awaited memoirs might finally see the light of day sometime soon

DUDE!!! TOTALLY AWESOME!!

Since you seem to know him, tell him there is at least one cute chick in LA dying to read it. OK, wait, there's also zabird out here and I think a few others out here in LA who would read it.

I'll pay extra for shipping and a signed copy.
