OMD, Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark

We know there is more to life than the music of the Bunnymen. Talk about those other bands here.

I'm totally lost. But the abuse of bunnies in the form of a vibrator kind of grossing me out and is making me think of an article I just read called, "No sex please, I'm Morrissey."

I was tempted to but OMD's greatest hits at Amoeba but restrained myself.

Mr. Brian, I find that offensive.

Scouser's inability to se others' point of view is rather grating.

Oh dear, one to miss then.

After reading the Review Dr. Cheese posted and other various comments...
Doesn't it make it even more amazing that Depeche Mode STILL works, and STILL draws huge crowds?

Are you the SAME Dr. Cheese as the one on YouTube? Great videos you have posted.

Well, I stand corrected, you reposted. Thanks to Scouser. Still makes me sad that not everyone who has reformed comes out OK. Sometimes it really is how it is written. Bias can come off as fact.

I'm loving all that people have posted and your name came up on several. It's incredible. This person posted Porcupine with the best audio track. If you haven't seen it, it's a treat. Wish they would issue remastered videos.

OMD were the first band I ever saw live (Dazzle Ships tour in 83). I still maintain the first four albums are some of the finest electronica of the era. Things went haywire from Junk Culture onwards and the only album that comes anywhere near the majesty of their inception is Crush (though it includes the horrendous Secret).

I saw them earlier this year (China Crisis supported) but it was abit of a hollow experience if I'm honest, they havent aged particularily well.

I noticed that after I posted and felt really stupid. Wouldn't be the first time I felt stupid.

Article and interview.

https://louderthanwar.com/omd-dazzle-sh ... appraisal/

That guardian review is still funny. Saw OMD when I was still living down Oxford way. The current Mrs fc pointed out that it was totally different to a bunnies gig in that (a) there were alot more women there and (b) the atmosphere was kind of upbeat and fun. She also pointed out that the lady who played with John foxx (support) who was wearing a kind of semi see-through top clearly wasn't wearing any upper body underwear type garments. I hadn't noticed. But what a woman to point it out to me.
