The Obligatory Contented of Hove Thread

We know there is more to life than the music of the Bunnymen. Talk about those other bands here.

Is that your video? I did wonder during the 'can you feel my heart beat' bit, on the big telly all the hands up around his, er, waist area, if any were being inappropriate. Me i was near the back, in case you ask VB.

No, not mine FC. I wasn't so close. Had a seat (I know, lame, afraid my mosh pit days are long behind me) at the other side, half way to the Gods. Turned out well when he disappeared into the crowd and turned up on the camera booth thingy not too far in front of us.

This review- and you'll only be able to see it if you sign up to donate a kidney to rupert murdoch, sorry - is the first dissenting one I've come across. Read it in the pub this afternoon, so, up yours rupe. However the bit you can see for free sets the tone pretty much. On the other hand it could be us reviewing the bunnies. Kind of grudgingly admits towards the end some kind of success, but you know, complaining about which albums aren't represented in the set because they'd work really well in a big arena, lighting's shit, bands really good but don't they ever move, blah blah blah. Doesn't even mention the kid who knows the words to stagger lee. And like the guardian one, misquotes the bloke who shouts out "I fucking love you" at the start. Anyways.........

Did we not say something similar when we saw him sitting a few rows in front of us at the 2008 Albert Hall gig?

Great show as usual. I've seen nearly every tour since 1989 and only one duff show and that was because of leccy problems.

The woman he got up on stage to sing Stagger Lee in Paris was actually quite good.
