I skipped the TO show despite having tickets cuz I was so bored watching him sit on a chair playing on the youtube clips.

(And don't anyone get all sensitive and take this as some kind of personal attack.

Well, there is a bit more to the story . . the guy I was going with couldn't head to TO till 5:30 PM and then had to get back to his wife and kids right after.

I rushed to TO for Kasabian like that and it was miserable. I mean, "Control" is playing - I'd want to go to the Bovine Sex Club .. .get some sushi. . .

And I had the option of a date with someone super fun who had to stay in town b/c of work (no, not on call at the GAP)

so~~~~

I passed.

just in from the London Union Chapel Spiritualized gig a bit ago.....

2 words! ------ FUCKING AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you can't even compare the youtube stuff to actually being there. the atmosphere @ Union Chapel was superb! amazing old church w/ candles all along the balcony. beautiful versions of all the songs, superb quartet, great backing vocals in the right places....dunno what to say. very moving emotional show. quite religious experience. and silent night in the encore! just a beautiful show. was crying on many occasions. couldn't hold it back. just so moving. perfect ending to a great bunnymen weekend! :biggrin:

Sigh. But like I said, it would have been a rush job racing up to TO and then back.

Still, next time you recommend a show and I get tix I ain't backing out.
