Pavement to play reunion shows - Bunnymen mention

We know there is more to life than the music of the Bunnymen. Talk about those other bands here.

Pavement to play reunion shows - Bunnymen mention

I thought this was sort of funny, especially coming from Kannberg, who's a huge Bunnymen fan.

Kannberg also claimed the reunion won’t be similar to certain other bands. "It's not gonna be like Echo and the Bunnymen, where they don't talk to each other, yet they tour every year,” he said. “I don't think we'll be that way. We're not still trying to flog a record or anything. It'll probably feel like we're just starting again. It'll be fun to play these songs." Speculation that the band will curate ATP, either in the U.S. or the U.K., is also mounting, and the band is set to be in great demand next year.

Count me in for Pavement. Echo & the Bunnymen not so much.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

I loved their first two albums for Malkmus' off kilter lyrics, bad singing and the band's lo-fi approach.

Have you ever heard Brighten The Corners? It might be my favorite album of theirs, although Slanted and Enchanted is probably their best overall album. Slanted is the album where they rip off the Fall song New Face In Hell pretty bad with their song Conduit For Sale.

Pavement founder Scott 'Spiral Stairs' Kannberg says it's "inevitable" the acclaimed 1990s indie band will develop new material if its long-awaited reunion goes smoothly next year.

Yes, the reviews seem to be scathing this time around...though that first Fountrain single did well... #31 on the Modern Rock chart or something...
I long for the pork of Porcupine. (A slide show dedicated mostly to Will right here.... http://www.examiner.com/rock-music-in-l ... -here-tour)
