The Damned

We know there is more to life than the music of the Bunnymen. Talk about those other bands here.

At least we have one classy fellow on the forum.

I love the album. The David Vanian penned tunes (Big Town being my favorite) are the best and the cover of "You and I" is great. The Phantom Chords have another completed album but no label to release it.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

The documentary (can view it on Amazon Prime) is quite good. I wasn't aware Vanian plays it close to the vest even with his bandmates.

could't find it on the telly- though searc - vampires, weirdos and cowboys (who are even in this day and age, normal), yes, but english punk bands, no.hing on 'the damned' gets alot of hits that aren't really anything to do with a band. HAd a gander on Youtube though.

I should give the Cramps a listen. I've been told it's up my alley.

Maybe this'll give you an idea where to watch.

Luckily for us our shared misery means we haven't aged since 1984.

Spoiler alert, he's dead now. Used to get his willy out on stage, but the couple of times I saw em were great, if you like that faux primitive rock n roll thing. Hot guitar player though. The bloke who drums for Nick Cave (and you're a fan, right?) used to drum for them but left because they 'liked to live the B horror movie lifestyle all the time'. But 'Human Fly' is good. I'll stop now.

What a miserable twat. I've seen the Damned three times and they fuck shit up live. Some of the best shows I've seen. Can you you imagine clutching your pearls over some trashy rock n roll like the good Lord intended?

Thank Christ I ain't that old yet.
