Jarvis Cocker is a God

We know there is more to life than the music of the Bunnymen. Talk about those other bands here.

It will feature a guy who likes to go up to his allotment and drink cans of beer while waiting to see if a badger comes out. It will also include a contribution from a man who had a row with his girlfriend, got drunk and climbed into an empty building and fell asleep behind a washing machine. When he woke up the next morning he had discovered a new passion – "the sounds and echoes of dereliction". Sounds a really interesting programme.

It's always a treat when this thread is resurrected as it gives me an excuse to return to page 6.

Aah, can't beat a hot blonde "teacher" in her underwear coupled with random pictures of Dr Alice Roberts. Maybe a spanking would be apt.

It was everything I hoped it would be. Jarvis Cocker is a sex panther rock god. All over the stage the entire time, slithering on the floor during "This Is Hardcore", funny as shit between songs and he seemed genuinely touched and appreciative of the crowd's enthusiasm. Very positive vibe between the crowd and the band. I said Pulp was the only band I'd pay $100.00 for and I stayed true to my word ($110.00 per ticket!) and it was worth every penny.

I was thrilled to hear:

Disco 2000
Do You Remember the First Time
Like a Friend
O.U. (Gone, Gone)
Bad Cover Version.

The setlist was:

Do You Remember the First Time?
Monday Morning
Razzmatazz
Live Bed Show
Disco 2000
Sorted for E's & Wizz
His 'n' Hers
Dishes
Mile End
Like a Friend
Babies
This Is Hardcore
Sunrise
Bar Italia
Common People
Encore:
O.U. (Gone, Gone)
Bad Cover Version
Mis-Shapes
Encore 2:
Back in L.A.
Something Changed

It was kind of sad when Jarvis said this night will never happen again so thank you for being here. I'd be surprised to see Pulp here in LA again (only 15 minutes from my house!) but I do hope to see Jarvis solo sometime in the future.

It was an incredible evening and I still am having a hard time wrapping my head around it. Since the 90's Jarvis Cocker has been expressing my fears, phobias and triumphs much better than I ever could and I will be forever thankful that I finally got to see him live. Definitely a life changer for me.

Now I'm really mad I didn't win his underwear in that charity auction. probably some sicko won!

That's good BF that it went down well. Fairly decent set. Dunno if there will be more Jarvis solo at the moment, think he is onto too good a thing what with loads of 20-something girls getting rather excited by a bloke nearly old enough to be their dad as well as the rather more older lot. Some new material might be a good idea and get Russell back for the next lot of tours (Chinese chick or use of other violinists isn't quite the same), at least to milk it before it turns into yet another chicken in the basket act. I guess I better suppress those thoughts before I turn this into Lyndhurst Grove.com, the ultimate Pulp resource and underground forum, that I have just made up in my head.
