Jarvis Cocker is a God

We know there is more to life than the music of the Bunnymen. Talk about those other bands here.

Aah, have a listen to that... off to meet the man himself later and no VIP meet and greet, money exchanging hands, other than the price of the book.

BTW I am prepared to call Jarvis Cocker the greatest lyricist of all time.

I Googled the article, and I'm still wondering why Iris by the Goo Goo Dolls was in the Top 3 that week.

And... it was good meeting Mr Cocker. We exchanged sleazy anecdotes about pink quilted eiderdowns and pulling knickers down, before I went on my merry way.

And how was it for Jarvis, to finally meet one of the truly common people?

Don't known if he'd meet many of the common people down south. Probably more like the girl from Greece wanting to be a common person methinks.

Jarvis Cocker answers your questions

His description of Britpop is memorable.

Didn't mention his evening with Ghostie in that interview though.

I actually  at this one

I don't get up in the morning and think, "Oh, look at you, you national treasure, you! You're really shiny today!" But it's nice.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

There, Kounelaki can spend an evening with our national treasure, if she so wishes, as he is going to do the same Mother, Brother, Lover signing and a talk at a temp Rough Trade shops tour thing in Paris on 14th December. This place:

Thanks, Ghostie. There was an exhibition of Joy Division photos at that place when Control came out.

Aah, you know of the place. Jarvis is also doing another talk/signing session in London next week, but I don't know if I will go to that - I was considering it because he is including a powerpoint presentation to accompany a talk, which wasn't done at the Foyles signing that I went to. He looks like a geography teacher these days or an academic off Open University so I can imagine it might be quite amusing.
