The Horrors

We know there is more to life than the music of the Bunnymen. Talk about those other bands here.

And now probably like number twenty something in my top ten songs of all time.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

Just got the album and its ace.Slightly put off tbh by their history-panto goth debut, more famous for soundbites than songs but.................what a great development.Sounds like Scott Walker verses Bauhaus.

Is Scott Walker a really bored sounding singer?

Listening to the Horrors and I can here the MBV comparison. MBV were so ahead of their time. In the studio. I wouldn't pay more than $20.00 to see them live though.

I hear absolutely no similarity to MBV whatsoever. A few of the tracks sound very Furs-like to me, though.

You just wait around to contradict me don't you. How's that working out for you?

Listen to MBV's "When You Sleep" or "To Here Knows When" and The Horrors' "Three Decades".

I hear it.

Lots of Krautrock & Joe Meek there isn't there? Klaus Dinger will be turning in his grave... Who's got the amazing record collection in their camp? It's a surprisingly great LP

I can def. hear MBV is some of the swirly guitar parts. One of the guys from Portishead produced the album, and I can hear his influence all over the place. This albums is an awesome stew of krautrock, post punk, and shoegaze with some garage left over from the first album.
