Steve Albini

We know there is more to life than the music of the Bunnymen. Talk about those other bands here.

In a way, Albini hasn't done anything, save provide the atmosphere for a band to show themselves, warts and all. That this in itself might seem like a radical thing, though, is exactly why he is so highly prized.

Albini's food blog

'Albini said he regarded American food shows as populated by "frathouse cocksuckers with gimmick hairdos"'

doesn't mention his infamous rapeman phase for some reason. or is that a different bloke? gedge writes about him in the sleevenotes for seamonsters remaster i think, says he spent about three days setting microphones up and then the band just played live.

I love Big Black. Their album "Songs About Fucking" rules--in fact, I just listened to it the other day at work. A good cover of Kraftwerk's "The Model" is on it.

I'll have to pick up that album one of these days. That cover of The Model is great.
